@BLKMDL3 this is good, but please don’t take it like all customers are going to be getting the update soon. it is likely that the wide release is still a bit away
For my @Tesla friends – and specifically Model S & X owners with HW3 who are waiting on FSD v14 Lite – I spoke to @aelluswamy at the Cybercab launch, & when I asked for an ETA on v14 Lite for S/X owners, he said, "Oh, I thought it was supposed to go out last week."
So: soon! 🙌
@umhandong There are mainly thermal-related issues w/ 14 lite on S/X, so further delays are expected because the model has to be optimized to run at a lower load than it does on model 3/Y. 14 lite on 3/Y is already pushing the hardware to its capacity. It’s not a simple process to do this.
@deepdishcapital@JohnyTwoTimes13@niccruzpatane Tesla Robotaxi is scalable. Is Waymo as scalable as Tesla? No. They are not, because they arbitrarily decided to stick with LiDAR which costs too much to scale appropriately. As it turns out, investing in the more cost-effective camera solution pays off. Who could’ve thought? 🤣
@CVincente19@teslascope@Tesla_AI@Tesla it was originally planned for early August but there were some issues and it got pulled last minute. it’s not canceled, but it’s unclear when it’ll release wide
@neokids If your car is connected to WiFi and plugged in, you will receive the update shortly. Rollouts are staggered, meaning cars will naturally get the update sooner than others.
