Breaking: We saw more than ONE MILLION trips yesterday across bus and rail! 🎉
Metro’s come a long way from our humble beginnings on this day 50 years ago when we started rail service with just 5 stations.
Since then, those 5 original stations have moved 1.1 billion trips!
It’s almost time… 🌸🌸🌸
Cherry Blossoms are working hard to debut in the city but we’ve been spotting some in the neighborhood already ✨

What may look like a one-and-done job is anything but—Ambassadors are still out re-clearing and salting areas where plows have pushed snow back onto sidewalks and crossings. So grateful for their continued dedication and making sure paths stay safe for everyone.
@BlockByBlock
My office has heard from hundreds of residents with concerns about the snow and ice buildup and removal. We are continuing to elevate your concerns to DPW and we are working to get crews and plows to your streets as soon as possible. I know this is frustrating and we thank you for your patience — DPW will get to everyone, but it is taking longer than usual due to the freezing temperatures icing the snow.
Reminder: Please call 311 with requests if your street needs to be plowed. Let’s look out for each other and please shovel your sidewalk to help make sure there is room for people to walk and for neighbors who use wheelchairs to get through.
