I am afraid to leave my dog in the care of other people, in case he suffers some type of abuse, but with this groomer I would have peace of mind.
I have a soft spot for anyone that treats animals with care 🤗♥️
Just to clarify: During the World Cup opening ceremony in Toronto, Canadians booed the American flag, not because they hate America, but because Trump has turned that flag into a symbol of hate & division.
The boos were directed at that fucking scumbag.
Veteran’s dog returned to him and his family after two months in cruel solitary confinement.
The government is not our friend.
But Lucy is home now where she belongs.
@Protect_Wldlife Every dog should be a #ForEverDog and never until you have a baby dog, or until you want to go on holiday dog, or until you move dog. Dogs love deeply and if you haven’t the decency or capacity to do the same don’t invite one to be part of your life & then dump him or her. EVER
The ultimate betrayal 😡.
Henry is a 13-year-old Labrador who had been with his owner since he was a puppy. But one evening in Vancouver, Washington, that lifelong bond was shattered.
At a local park, Henry’s owner let him out of the car as if they were going for a walk. Then, after removing his collar and ID, she led him toward a trailhead ~ before suddenly turning back, getting into her car, and driving away. Confused and loyal, Henry stayed behind, waiting for her to return.
The heartbreaking moment was captured on a neighbor’s surveillance camera prompting Good Samaritans to call police. As Henry waited, he was eventually brought to a local shelter, Humane Society of Southwest Washington, where he remained safe while authorities investigated the case.
The video quickly spread online, leading to a wave of tips that helped identify the owner and her vehicle. These tips led Animal Control officers to Maria Bruce, 63, of Portland, Oregon.
While she later claimed she felt she had no other options, rescuers strongly disagreed—especially after learning she had reportedly told others Henry had died, while he was still waiting for her.
I Paw’d It Forward, the rescue that spearheaded the search, wrote on Facebook. “She drove her lovely Tesla to the meeting so she could cry her fake tears and make up her fake story. She did finally admit it, but she really had no choice. I Have ZERO EMPATHY FOR HER. Less than zero even.”
Authorities confirmed that abandonment is considered animal cruelty, and she was cited by prosecutors.
And Henry? He’s no longer waiting alone. He found a forever family who will love him for the rest of his life.
Henry’s story is a painful reminder—but also an important one. No matter how difficult circumstances may be, there are always better options. Shelters, rescues, and community resources exist to help both pets and their people.
And this is also a good reminder that sharing stories like these does lead to answers, to justice, to brighter futures for vulnerable dogs. Every tap to like, share and comment matters in the world of social media. Support organisations and pages that share important stories and help them amplify their voices so their messages can be seen.
What began as a moment of betrayal became something else entirely: proof that even when one person walks away, a whole community can step in with love. And now, in his golden years, Henry finally has what he always deserved—a family who won’t leave. 🐾💛
Today at the airport, I witnessed a scene I will never forget.
The man's name was Daniel. He was holding his dog, Bruno, in his arms, tears welling up in his eyes. He was moving overseas, but Bruno could not be put in the cargo hold for health reasons. Daniel pleaded with the staff, I absolutely cannot leave him behind.
The crew then made space for him inside the plane. Bruno didn't bark or make a fuss even once; he just sat there quietly. He seemed to know he was safe, and everyone around him was touched by his composure.
When the plane landed, Daniel whispered softly, We made it together, Bruno.
Even now, my heart warms whenever I remember that moment

In one of the most significant single-day killing events in the history of the Faroe Islands’ dolphin hunts, more than 700 Atlantic white-sided dolphins were driven ashore and killed on Wednesday across three separate drives – surpassing two-thirds of the approximately 1,000 marine mammals killed across the entirety of last year.
The hunts, known locally as the grind, took place at multiple locations across the archipelago, which sits roughly 200 miles north of Scotland. Hundreds of dolphins were herded towards the shoreline before being killed using hooks and long knives in scenes that quickly drew international condemnation from conservation groups.
The day’s events were compounded by what participants themselves acknowledged was a critical shortage of spinal lances – equipment that is legally mandatory for the killing of dolphins in the islands. In their absence, multiple animals were killed using knives alone.
Reports from observers on the ground have described scenes of ‘prolonged suffering’ in which dolphins were crushed against rocks, driven over by vessels, and struck by boat propellers – the apparent consequence of both the equipment shortage and an insufficient number of trained participants.
A total of 706 dolphins were killed across the three hunts. The largest single drive took place in Tórshavn, the islands’ capital, where 406 animals were killed.

Robert De Niro on Donald Trump: “He’s a punk. He’s a dog. He’s a pig. He’s a con. A bullshit artist. A mutt who doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Doesn’t do his homework. Doesn’t care. Doesn’t pay his taxes. He’s an idiot. He’s a national disaster. He’s an embarrassment to this country.”
