Super happy to share the 1st paper of my PhD. Out in @FEMSmicro, with the incredible @MicrobialMarie and more.
Using SynCom inoculation on seeds, we characterized their transmission to seedlings. SynComs strongly outcompeted potting soil microbiota.🦠1/8 https://t.co/U8MKlz4Gcy
New to SynCom experiments? Check our paper to help you selecting strains, designing and monitoring the SynComs in your environment (host, soil, water...) 🦠
Huge congrats to Dr @GontranA Arnault for his fantastic defense 🥂
It was a privilege to mentor you during this scientific journey.
Check his published papers on SynCom designs and inoculation experiments on seed

On my way to Lyon for the @SFE2_2024🚆
Tuesday at 12h, I will give a talk in the Microbial Ecology session on the ecological processes at play during plant microbiota assembly using SynComs 🌿🦠
Fantastic work of the soon to be Dr @GontranA in the @SUCSEED_Project@Emersys_IRHS
Really proud to see this opinion piece led by @oscar_joubert out in the world 🍾🥂
We can use knowledge on ecological processes to improve plant microbiome engineering

The seed microbiota influences rhizosphere and seedling microbiota assemblies, which is promising for the future of plant microbiota engineering. However, it warrants consideration in risk assessments regarding SynComs' impact on native communities.
