I know the Trump administration is preparing for the big 250th anniversary celebration on the 4th of July. So I wanted to help out and provide them with some of my favorite quotes from the founding fathers of America: 1/
@heathroi Yeah. Then, of course, he could say if it had been allowed to continue we would’ve gotten everything he wanted but since Congress voted it’s no longer up to him.
I could see Trump giving in on this. An option to end the war while staying removed from the result.
Regardless of your feelings on the war, it is in fact unconstitutional and must receive authorization from Congress to continue.
House Passes Iran War Powers Resolution
The bill passed in a vote of 215-208 with four Republicans supporting it

@clnuponaisle5 Higher chance of this happening if the senate passes. My initial thought was that if 4 republicans signed on they might have been given permission.
I know, but you're going after a fundamental belief. There's a reason Plato supposed they would kill the man. Most people who aren't willing to entertain the idea of being wrong (one of my favorite things to do actually) just see another guy who gave up on the truth. Like what's his name in the Matrix deciding that the steak tastes good so who cares if it's real.
So you're gonna have to tell people why this is what's real. Why it's best. How it doesn't really conflict with their foundational beliefs or if it does, why that belief needs to be reconsidered. You understand why those people believe that because you were that guy back in 2016 (or whenever). And you would hopefully understand their initial reaction because it's the same reaction you would've had. I should also try all the things I just said because I rarely do. I wanted the sand turned into glass back in 2003 and now I treat people like idiots for being exactly where I was.
Anyway you don't need my advice or input, you're doing just fine on your own. I just hate seeing all the division among people that agree on a lot of really important things.
Yeah I'm just confused by this whole thing because I thought the job of people in the LP was to support LP candidates regardless of how you feel about their adherence to libertarianism.
I've been told that it's not your actions/votes that make you worthy of Libertarian support, but your party affiliation. Todd is a Libertarian running as a Libertarian. But now I'm being told that he's not an authentic Libertarian.
Just trying to keep up!
@misfitpatriot_ What percentage of money spent on Randy Feenstra in this campaign was from AIPAC, RJC, and others?
Now do the same % calculation for Ed Gallrein.
Now pull your head out of bibi's ass and have a rational, objective thought for once in your life.
I definitely don’t think he’s changed on those issues.
His profile exploded because he started talking about something more people care about..also because it’s rare to see someone go against their political party and call them out when they’re doing dumb shit.
This post below explains why I posted this.
He should stay on it for sure. I just wish it was at least 50/50. My biggest fear is something like with DOGE. Republicans went from wanting to cut spending to wanting to find fraud. There is not enough “fraud” to meaningfully cut spending. On this angle my fear is that instead of talking about the constitution and limited government a bunch of people will think that if we just cut aid to Israel or get rid of AIPAC our government will be fine. In actuality if we focus on constitutional/small government the Israel problem will go away as a byproduct of that. Massie didn’t start off hating Israel or hating AIPAC. He was/is a constitutionalist and his votes against foreign aid came as a consequence of that.
Basically I’m just being annoying and talking root causes 😂
I think we should cut all funding to Israel, release ALL the Epstein files, and pass a War Powers Resolution ending this unconstitutional war.
But honestly my favorite version of Thomas Massie was when he mostly talked about cutting taxes and slashing spending.
The national debt and free market economics will forever be my #1 issue. Republicans in congress have massively failed on this issue and that’s the issue that will kill America, first.
I get it. Pro-Israel money funded his opponent and he’s no longer in office. I’d be pissed too. I just don’t see it as our #1 issue. Israel could be wiped off the map and our big government overlords will still find a way to spend and tax us into oblivion if the people don’t wake up.
He still has my vote in 2028, of course. I’m just saying the eyes are off the ball and it’s about to hit us in the face.
@joshmartens13@RepThomasMassie Obvious argument against my argument is that it would be easier to get those small wins rather than waiting for everyone to suddenly find their long lost principles
