Sen. Mitch McConnell will receive the best health care money can buy.
The same can't be said for the millions of elderly citizens his age who don't have the affordable health care they need because Sen. McConnell spent his entire career working to block it.
This is a statement from two of the people who wrote Florida's new education standards on slavery. In it they give several names of people to exemplify slaves who learned skills they applied later in life.
Let's go through the supposed truth of this list one by one.
@ReallyAmerican1@Giannoulias Not sure this is the best answer - libraries desperately need funding. Rather than make it harder and give less money we should be sending more support and encouraging the public to go to and utilize these incredible spaces. Get them more money so they can have more books!
The obvious flaw here is that the Holocaust did happen. Millions (MILLIONS!!!) of people died.
“99% of society rejects the idea and person” except when it mattered, they didn’t.
When “ideas” promote harm to real people then they should not be tolerated.
A common retort to this brings up an extreme example (e.g. "oh so we should just let Nazis say they want to kill Jews?"). In these extreme cases, 99% of society roundly rejects the idea and person—the canceling is imposed by everyone, everywhere. That's not idea supremacy.

@SciShowTangents What is the best way to dispose of rubber? Is it better or worse for the planet than plastic? Is it still made from the plant or is it all synthetic now?
@baltimoredavey Thank you for being you and being strong, smart, and kind. I appreciate your hockey analysis and takes and your openness to the world. I also struggle with most of these same things and it is so hard to keep going some days. But I’m proud of you for not giving up.
