Good Morning @RutgersU! Its day 284 w/o a contract but it is also DAY ONE ON STRIKE! We are moved & motivated by the huge show of action & support from members, students, coworkers and partners in the community. TOGETHER WE ARE STRONG & WE WILL WIN a #FairContractNow! #RUOnSTRIKE
this! thank you.
in the wake of winning the int. booker, I tried to 'leverage' my new 'visibility' to add pressure behind the scenes both for translator recognition and better pay. I met these same unfounded arguments and was told 'translation has always been a gentleman's game'
@lvkerlvker all sympathy! I’m 3 months past breaking my ankle & surgery. I felt like I’d never walk again, but these healing timelines for bone, ligaments etc are real. the exercises and rest do work over time. if you’re into herbs try horsetail & Solomon’s seal. also elder leaf tea 🌱
big love and thanks to MO(O)ON/IO for their sweet labor and care publishing these two hinged pieces that are new-ish and still trying to teach my what they are about. I can't wait to hold the chapbook in my hands, and to read @JohannesGoranss's too! <3 <3 <3

the narrative detailed in this letter from poets house workers who were fired as they tried to protect themselves by unionizing is sadly not surprising, but it is awful and shameful
