@PathyKlinn Good thing is that the government is providing the funding. Get a good contractor like SUMMA or a Chinese developer and a 200 room key hotel will be up in 9 months
@AusbelMumbere@assempebwa@sussiekats Is it really possible to construct a passenger terminal in one year. Only God knows. Maybe they will just disembark passengers on the runway and that will be it.
@gittaarnie IMO, government can start by compulsorily acquiring slums and compensating slum dwellers. That Kawmokya slum can accommodate like 5000 units if properly put up.
@gittaarnie Government will have to gazette some areas for high density settlement. Then it will have to compensate people who already own properties in those areas. Demolish and put up proper hundreds of 15 storeys apartment blocks
@TheMutaD Lugogo bypass about to get lit. That Diamond Tower edifice is a pointer at what's going to happen to the Naguru Kololo axis when those Chinese developers set foot in Kampala.
@Rwakakamba C. Affordable housing of 100,000 units in each of our cities to cater for the rapid urbanization that is about to unfold before our eyes. This will help improve the standard of living in our cities. Our cities will be the engine of our growth.
@PathyKlinn That place needs a 45 storey edifice. Then it will be Kampala's Westlands. But, we may have to wait until mid 2030's for our skyline to be dotted with 30 storeys buildings.
