Also, it actually has a story. With intrigue. And stakes. That is told linearly. And occurs as you play. And is NOT hidden randomly throughout the world. And focuses on the player character.
Never thought that’d actually be a selling point for a Zelda game, but here we are.
Finished Echoes of Wisdom, very fun game and a great return to form for the Zelda series. It may be in my top 5 (I’d need to go back and play others to confirm), but definitely leagues better than BotW/TotK
Thoughts…
A decent amount of side content and collectibles to keep you busy
Like I said, great game overall. 8/10. I don’t expect or particularly want a direct sequel, but I’m excited to see another Grezzo-lead original Zelda game.
Automatons are a waste. You get them way to late and echoes are just better. I didn’t even get them until after the final dungeon, and only did for completion
Dungeons are well designed and offer a decent challenge. Bosses are pretty fun too…
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door contains a pipe that turns every follower into Punio when they walk through it. If glitches or cheats are used to have any follower except Punio during this scene, they will turn into Punio upon emerging from the other end.
