@SteveMascord I'm not one of those fans, but why would you expect England fans to go out of their way to defend it?
All the Aussies do is talk negatively about the Super League. You can't pick and choose when to be a 'good for the game' fan
@MikeMeehallWood 0 chance we reduce to a 10 team comp, but what can happen is reduce the number of regular season games - creating space for internationals (vs combined nations team) or a War-of-the-Roses series
Int break also gives France, Wales, Ireland, Knights etc. a chance to all play games
What is he really spoiling? A press release? I could understand if the league had a big reveal for each player planned, but most likely that wont be the case.
@M_Shaw1 Why would anyone engage with people who are genuinely passionate about the sport when bland corporate alternatives are available? It is indeed a puzzle
If you believe attention spans are at an all-time low - you are giving a great window for viewers to disengage and switch the channel.
Unless you are able to make the decisions within 30 seconds like an NRL style bunker system - it has to go asap.
It kills any momentum a team gets from an opposition error
I would bet the success% on correct calls for strips and knock-ons is comfortably high enough to not endure 2+ minute reviews and accept a handful of wrong calls.
One of Super League's biggest issues re: young stars is the salary cap. Clubs that produce young talent (Wigan, Saints, Leeds, Warrington in recent years - there are others too) are consistently inhibited by the fact they can only pay them 30k under age of 21 before they go on the cap. So they under-pay them what they're worth.
For context, that means you can earn more as a 22-year-old making coffees or working on a building site than playing elite sport. That is fundamentally flawed as a system for a supposed 'top tier' sport.
Until the sport recognises it needs to reward clubs who produce the stars of tomorrow, not hinder them, young talent will leave. They'll go to other sports, the NRL or just walk away from the game altogether. And if you reward those clubs with further cap dispensation to appropriately remunerate young talent, it will prompt others to up their game in talent development AND keep the best ones in Super League.
Great achievement no doubt but Fox Sports are trying to tell you Alex Johnston is 'the game's greatest try-scorer' which is, of course, an Australianism and a lie
🏉 LIVE RUGBY LEAGUE ON THE BBC
Not got Sky Sports? Want to watch the World Club Challenge? Fear not - Hull KR v Brisbane is live from 7PM on BBC3.
I guarantee loads of people won't know about this so spread the word!
I thought Super League was a lot more watchable this weekend overall, the referees probably deserve some credit for that in terms of the quicker rucks. Hopefully they remain consistent in their application of the new rules and don’t just forget about them after round four.
Overall it was a huge success, gained 3k subscribers from the stream.
With the great interest from PNG and Aus they could easily be one of the most subscribered clubs by the seasons end
This isn't a fair comparison, the London vs Bradford match wasn't a live stream, posted 2 days after the result
A better comparison would be The Sportsmans live coverage in 2025
Hull KR vs York - 77k
Halifax vs Catalan - 64k
Leeds v Saints - 171k
York v Toulouse - 63k
London Broncos vs Widnes has now had 65,000 views on YouTube since Sunday.
In comparison, a full match replay of London vs Bradford Bulls four months ago has 376 views.
TOMORROW 👀
We are live streaming our game for free so you can watch all the action from London.

@Nezd_@centralNRL What are you talking about? England are not good enough in attack against the best team in the world - doesn't mean it was the worst match in history because your team didn't blow away an average at best side
