Learning how to swing trade CAN-SLIM style. Unusual options activity a secondary interest. Market-level gamma stuff and ES daytrading on the back burner.
@surfmind_ When I tried Gemini agentic browsing feature, it was painful to watch. So far, surfmind seems to do a better job, and is a great "connector/integrator" tool in the AI ecosystem with BYOM, skills, MCPs. ect. I look forward to using it. And Luc, the founder, is awesome. Hardworker!
@fullthr0tll3@denis__hamel@jfsrev I have the same question. I think Denis is doing the $ version and Jeff the % version. I made TV indicators to draw the extensions. At at first I did the $ method and then the % method. Tricky stuff.
@BigWaveChartist@UmarAshraf I think this concept dovetails nicely with the concept of progressive [portfolio] exposure, as espoused by @RealSimpleAriel . As you can move stops to breakeven, lowering your open heat, you then have "room" to add new positions.
@SteveDJacobs@i_manage_risk Steve, your talent is amazing. So is your generosity in sharing your ideas and analysis with the trading community. Thank you.
@RealSimpleAriel From the upcoming wizards book, via Traderlion preview, KK defines episodic pivot as having: major news item, a big gap up, and a huge increase in volume. Maybe explains the reason why so many don't use Stockbee's definition. Unfortunate use of the same term.
@Peoplewish To boil it down is slightly different terms: If the charts of multiple stocks in the same theme are highly correlated, you conclude that there is a common accumulator source? [And that is bullish for the theme?] So do you buy all of them? Or a weaker stock that will "catch up"?
@i_manage_risk so where is your stop? How much heat are you willing to take? Where will you know your trade thesis is wrong?
When not wait for a lower high to short against?
@BottomPhishing Or it pushed them to trade futures, which do not have a pdt rule, instead of stocks. Or maybe to crypto. Reckless traders will always find a way.
