100%. While we humans are lazy and get easily addicted to things that makes our lives easier but we are also inherently selfish which alone has enabled our progression over thousands of years despite every major industrial and technological revolutions. Companies and Individuals who can best leverage AI will be the next progression multiplier and a great leveler across geographies in the next decade
@ttunguz The Power of Microsoft Azure’s first party distribution for Databricks is the biggest differentiator. When they go public it will be obvious to market when Azure vs AWS vs GCP share to this revenue is shared.
@sgurumurthy He was definitely very good when he got started and was for good two decades. I attribute his decline to him succmmbing to mid-life crisis and also got very lazy with his work post Oscar win
@GergelyOrosz They have been disrupted by https://t.co/vZRfxpKeiX and so they had no choice to but to change positioning. But, Traditional SaaS is dead and enterprises are not going to landlock their data inside airtable
@tommartens68@PawarBI Consulting and Training $ are shifting from #PowerBI to #Fabric. Change is hard for everyone and not just customers. Smart ones simply move and adopt to where the buck is and rest whine.
@GregDeckler@dataveld 5% is generously low considering how much software engineers wage inflation has been over the last decade. Also - everyone has a choice to move to a competitor if they don’t see the value and no one needs to own the evil either.
@GregDeckler@dataveld Let’s assume 5% increase per year is fair then 40% hike is fair after eight years of continuous monthly improvement. Pricing is simply a function of what market bears and what competition is pricing now. Let’s leave the judgement to customers and how they will perceive and react
@dmuthuk@Modi26052014 They should allow indexation only for primary residence which should address middle class but not for second and third homes to promote wider home ownership or exempt say first 50 Lakhs of profit from taxes like USA gives about $500K if you have lived on the home
Microsoft’s new fiscal year started July 1st and they have new strategic and financial goals to achieve for this new fiscal year. I am curious how their strategy towards positioning fabric over Databricks and snowflake plays out in sales and how it is perceived and accepted by customers
@mim_djo I saw this coming as well! Microsoft is too big already and the board will not allow any more home runs except in AI. I expect them to push revenues through partners and ISVs. So, Fabric will have to play around nicely with snowflake and Databricks is what you will see
