@MayorFrey 20 years ago I decided to go to school at the U of M. I was a kid from New York. I was so excited to go to the U because the city was non stop fun and felt like a small town at the same time. I took my first trip back last week and couldn’t believe what has happened.
Today, we remember a legend.
On this day in history, Harambe would have celebrated another birthday. An icon that became part of internet history, American culture, and an entire generation’s timeline.
Tomorrow marks 10 years since we lost him. Ten years since the moment the world stopped scrolling and collectively mourned something bigger than a meme.
He became a symbol of loyalty, strength, chaos, unity, and the strange beauty of the internet bringing millions of people together for one cause: never forgetting Harambe.
Everyone remembers where they were when they heard the news. And somehow, a decade later, his legacy still lives on.
Gone, but never forgotten.
Rest easy to a true patriot. 🕊️🇺🇸

Forever in our hearts.
The American obsession with owning a massive SUV or pickup truck that never carries anything heavier than a grocery bag is an ego issue. You don't need a V8 tank to drive to your office job in Dallas.
Let's see: Outdoor movies...because the theaters have closed. Food trucks...since 40% of the restaurants have shuttered. Happy hours on Nicollet...on good, more alcohol. Free live music...bring your ghetto blaster. Fitness classes...running from the riots. Prince singalongs...um, he's been dead for like ten years now. Twins games...wonderful minor league farm team. Pride...so, so tired of this. Taste of Minnesota...bananas and rice. Special Olympics...Twins again. And yes -- WWE SummerSlam...okay, now that's worth something.
