Doreen Kaija, the Principal of the National Unity Platform (NUP) School of Leadership, was arrested on September 14, 2025, from her home in Kinawataka, Mbuya, by security operatives. Her right to speedy trial was denied and September 18 she will make a year in prison .

Yesterday, his bail application was rejected, and his case was pushed to 18 September 2026. By then, he will have spent about 19 months in prison over bogus charges.

On April 27, 2025, Comrade Eddy Mutwe was abducted, tortured and held incommunicado for days. His whereabouts were unknown until a picture was posted by the CDF also Museveni son, claiming he was being held in basement teaching him Runyankole.
He was later taken to Masaka Court and remanded to prison.
Yesterday, his bail was rejected again and the case was pushed to September 18, 2026. By then, Eddy will have spent 509 days in prison.
His crime? Supporting Bobi Wine.
In Uganda those in power are above the law as ordinary citizens are being left to rot in prison.
Court grants Mabirizi mandatory bail after 60 days on remand without trial
However to leave prison, chief magistrate Ritah Neumbe Kidasa ordered Mabirizi to first pay a cash bail of Shs 2 million, provide two substantial sureties, each holding a valid national ID card, who will execute a non-cash bond of Shs 5 million.
He was also ordered to deposit his passport with court and barred from leaving Uganda without written permission until the case is concluded.
However, Mabirizi told court that he does not have a passport and intends to challenge the requirement or write to the ministry of Internal Affairs to confirm that he has none. As a result, he was unable to leave prison on Friday despite being granted bail.
