After finding a Snipe resting in a drainage ditch during a stroll on local farmland this morning, I took a quick photo and left him in peace. A few minutes later he was up and drumming in the spring sunshine high overhead. @teesbirds1 @waderquest

I was just alerted by the frantic calling of Blue Tits to 2 birds huddling together and hopelessly trapped under the cover of the drain in my garden. On release they flew straight to my birdbath to bathe, none the worse for wear. @teesbirds1

4 very mobile Waxwings were on overhead wires at Quarry Burn Lane, Crook before flying W towards Howden-le-Wear at 12:45 this afternoon. @teesbirds1

One of the Waxwings at Crook this afternoon was missing its tail feathers but still managed to fly off towards Howden-le-Wear with the rest of the flock. @teesbirds1
