@downthebyline Oh I agree for sure. Was complete malpractice. I was saying imagine Davis had a full preseason or CM to train. Would have an extra year of development which is why I think it was a wasted year of his career.
@downthebyline “Chicago didn’t have a good roster”. Man… WE aren’t going to have a good roster lol. Needed someone that could do a lot with a little. Rough signing.
@PlayFor90 What I could see happening is them signing 2 of their draft picks, another Reynalds type trade, 2/3 underwhelming overseas signings, and heading into the season with 23 guys. Than we will get the messaging of “we have a ton of flexibility for the summer window”
@PlayFor90 I’ve wondered what’s been going on. I bet KC is a hard sell to players/coaches rn. The last few years, state of the roster, no head coach, etc…. In order to get guys you’ll have to overpay and I don’t feel confident that both the owners and FO staff are willing to do that.
@PlayFor90 Yup, and with as many holes as there are on the team it’s hard to imagine the majority of them, let alone all of them, get filled. In order for the club to be even remotely competitive in 26, they need to have the most active January in the entire league. It’s hard to see it tbh
@downthebyline The other thing I think about is that Jake Davis was completely wasted by having to play RB due to roster malpractice last preseason. It looks like we are gearing up for round 2 of that.
@downthebyline the longer the club is unable to sign players, the more it becomes a reality that from Jan-Feb the club has to have the most active offseason in the league just to field a competitive club. I question if they have the infrastructure to be that active in that short a period
@downthebyline It’s 100% okay to say that the “slowness” of the SKC offseason, thus far, is unacceptable. Something needed to happen already. Some non GK signing, a coach announcement, etc.. doesn’t mean it can’t still be a good offseason but man… it hasn’t been encouraging so far.
@sperrydaniel94 I don’t think anybody is concerned with the signing, or announcing it. More so the fact that using a meme to hype up signing a 4th GK on a roster with 15 players (especially considering the history of the last 4 years of this club) is extremely tone deaf.
@ManagerTactical You think Johnny would have played that quick ball down the line? Nahh he would have been on the ground rolling around or looking like a lost pup
