@SheffCouncil There are heaps of Urban Splash companies registered at Companies House, some of which are in trouble. Exactly which one will SCC enter into an Agreement with? Do SCC even know themselves?
@sccstreetsahead@JoeOttenX @Ameyplc @HelpSheffield There are countless streets in Sheffield that are still in a terrible state - Amey is being paid over £1,000,000 a WEEK for the
Streets Ahead contract. Where is it all going?
Today Sheffield Council voted-in the design for its new Modern Committee decision-making system, starting May 2022. Though we think the design could have been better, council employees have worked v. hard to help & guide cllrs in the process to get this far. Thanks to them all!
@ShannonSheff@justinmbuxton@katejosephs@ShannonSheff and others tagging us….we don’t know about this/haven’t been involved. But not a citizens assembly and for example, see Sheffield City Partnership Board Meeting minutes from July pp4-5 https://t.co/2yqvJHgSC1
Not to be confused with the new committee system which is currently being designed to replace the strong leader model voted out last May. Think there is still a lot of confusion about this. LACS are operating alongside not replacing.

Very pleased with today's feature by @ChrisBurn_Post on 'Persons Unknown'! Please buy the Yorkshire Post and support a paper that has done proper journalism on the tree felling issue. Many thanks to Wrecking Ball Press too for being our publishers - much appreciated :)
It's Our City! Annual General Meeting will be held on Zoom, from 7pm to 8pm on 11th August 2021. The AGM will focus on the formal business of It's Our City!. Register to attend. https://t.co/NI17UYLan4
It's also been revealed that an 'options paper' document discussed in one of the email chains marked ‘not subject to FoI’ has disappeared. Campaigners say its loss raises questions on whether a forthcoming inquiry into the saga can get the full picture:

In my part of Sheffield, in 5 years we've increased the number of street tree elms from 4 to 32. Aim is to reach ~100 in 5 years time, (5% of local street tree stock), increasing habitat for local White Letter Hairstreak population. Small scale visionary conservation in action
It was good to welcome @WoodlandTrust to Chatsworth and Vernon Rd today. @sj_unwin decorated Vernon which reminded us of all our supporters over the years who kept our spirits up. It helped us to maintain the fight to keep our street trees. Thank you all!
Pop-up PLANT SALE this Saturday (3rd July) at 47 Slayleigh Lane (Fulwood) S10 3RG from 2pm till 4pm. A very large range of beautiful, unusual seed-sown garden plants. Proceeds to the Gardens.
All welcome!
Spread word. Many children are being sent home by school due to someone in class / year group bubble testing +ve for Covid.
If so, and you then can't work due to needing to be home with them, this (not just NHS test & trace) can trigger the £500 payment for those on low incomes.
Here’s something to brighten your Monday morning…
2 weeks today the Bears will be released from hibernation and will be on the streets ready to meet you! 🎉
We are unbearlievably excited!
P.S. does anyone know how to get 160 Bears out of a bearhouse, asking for a friend 🐻
