@RBairner True but even Germany’s second team (if even such a thing exists) is still very strong. It was a sub who came to score both their goals yesterday. They could be good for a point. CIV should beat Curacao.
@IainMitchell17 Great thread. Netherlands dishing out a pasting yesterday could be crucial. Also, the two groups which have Spain and Belgium in them saw draws across the first four matches so hopefully the low points scoring continues for two teams in each of those groups.
@gazpop81@RFCNUFC23 Yup agree 100%. Usually in this scenario the club would bin off the manager but I feel/hope they’ve identified this and are seeking to rectify it by making wholesale changes in the playing squad, because my goodness do we need it.
@RFCNUFC23 We’re not winning anything until we have a core of players like that running through our team. I can only hope this is the type of squad he’s trying to build in the summer…
@RFCNUFC23 Tell people you have leadership (or mental strength), then you’re publicly admitting it’s a problem and something you lack. True leadership is displayed on the pitch, by taking accountability and winning, and by having several captains on the pitch/
@RFCNUFC23 This has been my thoughts entirely. Whether Rohl should stay or not is a separate discussion but it can’t ever be acceptable for a player to dictate to the HC he is playing. Rohl giving in would undermine his own authority in the dressing room and the first sign of trouble next/
@RangersBanter17@AMcKellar89@ottawascot Can see this happening too. Even that twat Doncaster has said that he’d love it and for it to be a (potential) title decider on tv.
@fmeetsdata Conf League & every Scottish team who has entered it (through a guaranteed EL playoff spot for the cup winner) has failed to qualify from the Conf League to the KO stages (every year since the Conf League started). We’re poor at European qualifiers and this hurts the coefficient.
@fmeetsdata Interesting graph but I fear the current decline could be more permanent due to the conference. We’re consistently seeing leagues with similar coefficients to ours enter 2, 3 or even 4 teams to this new competition. No Scottish team has come through qualifying for the 1/
