DHC's IPD releases its 1st Annual Report, with data on no. cases filed, heard, and disposed of by the division! While this is a great move towards ensuring a transparent IP regime, the data could have been a little clearer for better understanding. Until next time, I guess!
@Gourowski_23 writes about this chapter, analyzing the given data on cases filed, disposed of, and pending before the IPD and comments on the existing ambiguities therein. (9/9)

I am very happy to learn that one of my students, Sheikh Raisul Islam, from Bangladesh, whom I taught at South Asian University (SAU), has got a job in BIMSTEC. This is terrific news. But what saddens me is the failure of SAU to publicise the achievements of its students.

To be frank, my problem with the revised D&C Act is not the decriminalisation of certain offences. It's the absolute lack of logic behind what to decriminalise and what not to. It echoes of previous regulatory guidelines I wrote about in this article: https://t.co/47xMyuI8WO (1)

Most of us have heard of 'Regulatory Capture' by the industry. But have you heard of 'Capture of Law Making Process' itself?
Fasten your seatbelts.
A sordid tale of how lobbying has almost succeeded in getting its masters a free pass from accountability
