Today has proven to be remarkably productive in Takaba as our initial series of meetings kicked off and is presently in progress. We have actively participated in extensive dialogues with a diverse group of community elders, women and youth, focusing on community needs and the strategies laid out by Mandera's leadership to elevate service delivery, all with the ultimate goal of providing better services to the people of Mandera.

During their visit, @WFP rolled out Lisha Jamii phase 2 targeting 25k households. Phase 2 will provide food & cash transfers. COCOP, @WFP's local partner, began relief food distribution in Mandera with bags leaving Cereal Board. Cash transfers will begin after food distribution.

CSG meeting today discussed the current state of the county after the floods. MCG is taking immediate action to mitigate the effects of this disaster and protect the health and wellbeing of our people. We urge all residents to prioritize good hygiene and sanitation measures.
