I joined leaders and area locals at Mwingi Seminary, for a joint requiem mass of the Ten pupils of St. Gabriel's Primary School, who perished in a road accident on Saturday night.

We put our little angels in the hands of the Lord. May God rest their souls in eternal peace.

We have joined area residents for a prayer at Kanginga in Mwingi, the scene of last night's accident that has claimed lives of nine Children of St Gabriel Primary School, and left several others with serious injuries.

We urge all drivers on our roads to exercise caution.

We have signed a Memorandum of Agreement for the establishment of the Kitui County-SEKU Livestock Improvement Programme (KCSLIP). A ground-breaking initiative that amounts to a livestock bank. The program seeks to scale up livestock development innovations for better yields.

Kitui County will receive 1.1 billion shillings from the World Bank kitty with an aim to “Partner for Shared Growth and Prosperity”.

The fund will be used for the Urban Development Program. Kenya’s World Bank Director Diaretoue Gaye confirmed that in our meeting today.
