VIDEO: “Kenneth Okonkwo Lied, I Never Told Him Peter Obi Asked Us to Pay N10 Million for 2027 Campaign” — Ogbunike Ohaegbu Denies Allegation, Calls for Legal Action https://t.co/2z2sX58sDO
BREAKING: Kenneth Okonkwo Releases Evidence, Insists Obi, NDC Leaders Demanded Payments From Aspirants🔥👀
Renowned actor and politician, Kenneth Okonkwo, has released what he terms documentary evidence to double down on his corruption allegations against the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, and other Southeast party leaders.
Okonkwo insists that aspirants were pressured into making illicit payments to secure tickets during the party’s primary elections.
The disclosure follows a pre-litigation warning from Obi’s legal team threatening a five-billion-naira defamation lawsuit over claims Okonkwo originally made on Channels Television’s “Sunrise Daily.” In the interview, he claimed that House of Representatives aspirants were coerced into paying a 10 million Naira bribe under Obi’s watch.
Responding through a series of tweets on Wednesday morning, Okonkwo dismissed the legal threats and revealed private conversations with Obunike Ohaegbu, an NDC House of Representatives aspirant for the Nnewi North/South/Ekwusigo Federal Constituency.
Although Ohaegbu reportedly downplayed his accusation of the party in subsequent media appearances, Okonkwo insisted that the aspirant had privately labelled Obi as the chief coordinator of the extortion scheme.
“In all honesty, I cannot even say everything this man told me about Peter Obi just to preserve the remaining of Peter Obi’s tattered reputation. Indeed, I asked him a question when we were discussing orally, ‘are you telling me that Peter Obi is the head of this criminal gang that defrauded you people?’ He answered ‘Peter Obi is the head, stomach, and feet of the criminal gang.'”
Okonkwo shared excerpts from his chat logs with Ohaegbu, which depicted his frustration over the selection process in Anambra State. The correspondence showed the aspirant questioning the legitimacy of a candidate list allegedly compiled by Obi at the Johnwood Hotel in Abuja, noting that it included individuals who had lost or did not participate in the actual primary elections, such as Senator Victor Umeh.
“Please tell me, if a person said that Peter Obi was writing list of aspirants in John Wood Hotel, Abuja, who didn’t win election in NDC, to become candidates for NDC, what else is criminality? He even stated clearly that Peter Obi wrote Senator Victor Umeh’s name as a candidate when he lost.”
To prove his claims regarding the illegal financial demands, Okonkwo highlighted a public statement from the party, explaining that when Ohaegbu questioned the NDC on who authorized the extra 10 million Naira fees for House of Representatives seats and 20 million Naira fees for Senate seats, the national secretariat directed them back to Obi’s state caucus.
“Obunike Ohaegbu, when I questioned him to prove that Peter Obi was responsible for demanding the N10m from him and other HOR aspirants and N20m from the Senate aspirants, he made it clear that when he confronted the Party on who authorised the payment, the party named Peter Obi and the caucus leaders who were assembled by Peter Obi.”
Okonkwo cited earlier policy clarifications made by Senator Seriake Dickson, who maintained that political aspirants are legally required to pay solely for Expression of Interest forms. According to party guidelines, only verified primary winners are permitted to make further nomination payments, rendering any pre-primary financial demands illegitimate.
Demanding an immediate institutional response, the lawyer turned political commentator called on anti-graft and federal security agencies to open a comprehensive investigation into the NDC’s financial administration. He emphasized that his public disclosures are aimed at ensuring full financial restitution for all political aspirants who lost money during the primary cycle.

On Monday the 8th of june 2026, i was on @tudobams twitter space.
I promise to post receipt/evidence of scamming and high level corruption in the NDC @NigeriaNDCHQ
Below is a receipt of 20,000,000 million naira that was scammed from the hand of a senatorial aspirant of the NDC, and a petition to that effect already sent to the EFCC @officialEFCC
THE STORY
After purchasing his 3 million naira expression of interest form to contest for a senatorial slot in the NDC, he was invited to Abuja for screening.
On reaching Abuja, they gave him a form to sign that he will abide to whatever the screening committee does, and will not sue the NDC to court. He was surprised, but he went ahead and signed. He felt they were going to screen him based on his profession, political exposure, grassroot structure, past records, qualifications obtained, etc.
But to his wildest imagination, they started asking about his bank statements, the number of houses and properties he owns, cars and investments, about his financial capacity, etc.
They told him that he has to show capacity if he really wants to be a senator.
They wrote down an FCMB account details for him, and asked him to pay the sum of 20,000,000 million naira into it. He paid the money, and the NDC shut their doors at him till date.
He is now asking the party to refund him back his 20,000,000 million naira, and has filed a petition against them at the EFCC.
Nigerians, this happened to thousands of aspirants nationwide. But because many are still expecting the outcome of their primaries on Monday the 15th of June 2026, coupled with the fact that they singed a no lawsuit agreement, they are just handicapped.
I have other receipts and documents, but i will wait for the NDC to deny this first.
After purchasing expression of interest form of 3 million naira, what is this unknown 10, and 20 million naira meant for?
Who collected that money, and whose pocket is that money going to?
If not for scamming, why will the NDC ask aspirants to sign undertaking of no lawsuit?
Dear @realkenokonkwo you have a mail from Mr. Peter Obi.
Now that the person who you claimed told you have denied it, I hope you will still appear in court with evidence?
It may be time for you to practice the law you studied😆
BREAKING:
Barr. @realkenokonkwo in hot waters as he risks court action if he ignores this letter of demand for immediate withdrawal of false, malicious and defamatory statement he (Kenneth Okonkwo) made against Mr. Peter Obi.
Is ADC still running for the 2027 presidential election? Or they are running to just abuse Obi? ADC is basically attacking someone who walked away quietly. That is horrible.
When Deborah Samuel was brutally murdered in Sokoto, Atiku issued a press release condemning the action; the following day, he withdrew it and apologised, saying it was his pressmen that issued it without his approval.
Former SGF Babachir Lawal alleges that the ADC presidential flagbearer, Atiku Abubakar, has no sympathy for the victims of terrorism.

BREAKING: The Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has declared unlawful the National Assembly’s controversial N110 billion vehicle and allowance schemes, ruling that the spending of N40 billion on 465 vehicles for lawmakers and N70 billion in support allowances for newly elected members breached procurement laws, constitutional obligations, and the public trust.
This is why Atiku supporters are crashing out since Obi and Kwankwaso left them.
See what Dino said here. You can see that all their permutations were dependent on Obi and Kwankwaso. 😂
Kwankwaso's 1 million votes from Kano, dwarfed Tinubu's votes from 11 states. That was actually the courage of ADC.
And now, that courage is now in NDC... 😥😥😂😂
