@DrAlex_T@researchEDBmth This session was fantastic! So many things in it hit home with me and will have a direct impact on my classroom practice. Thank you.
It’s the day after @researchEDBmth and I am still buzzing about the sessions I attended. What a fantastic opportunity to invest in my own PD and the students I teach. I know it’s in our own time but I would thoroughly recommend going to events like these if you can. So
Worth it!
@MissMullin4@MrTs_NQTs I think it’s helpful to remember the school year is a marathon and not a sprint, so make sure you set reasonable deadlines to put the laptop away and stop checking emails. Also, don’t think you have to solve everything yourself, always think about, who can help me with this?
@LR_History They won’t because that would require some level
of reflection which they are incapable of doing. It’s easier to blame others when you are weak. If one of their mates was going to gain something from it they might do something.

Had some really interesting conversations today around imposter syndrome and how women feel they need to be able to do almost everything on a job description before even thinking about going for it. How do you know you are ready to take the next step? @WomenEd
@jo_facer fantastic to hear you speak @ Festival of Education today. Came away with lots of ideas which I can’t wait to develop in my setting. Thanks 🙏
@realchrisjarvis now I have made it to the end of term I wanted to say a huge thank you for the superb Cinderella! Y7 @poole_high and staff were fizzing with festive joy after seeing it. Thank you so much for fantastic talk afterwards. #wantedtoaskmore
Went to see Cinderella @LighthousePoole on Thursday & still thinking about how wonderful it was now. Spectacular show that ticks every panto box! Our school was given a careers talk by team who created it. What an opportunity! Can’t wait for next year’s!
@teachals@SPryke2 Had fantastic discussion around pedagogy, subject knowledge and genius of Dickens today, with an ECT2 and trainee teacher, sparked by your book. The more we read around a text the more powerful they become, shifting from teaching to a test to teaching it because it’s brilliant.
@SPryke2@teachals This book is brilliant. I have taught ACC a number of times and read around the text but this year I feel I have taken up a notch after getting this fantastic book. Thank you.
Here is a thread containing all ten of our 'Five Ways' one-pagers. I've included the links to @teacherhead's original blog. You'll also find a PDF of each one-pager; PDF files are better for printing.
@__codexterous Adaptive teaching is at the heart of what we do at my school. Students get the same menu of texts but dietary requirements are there! Basically, we adapt every lesson to meet the needs of our learners so all can be success. This-ness.
@LeNavetBete just seen The Three Musketeers @LighthousePoole Absolutely fantastic! Hilarious, intelligent and brilliant. Can’t wait to see what they bring to Poole next!
