@robsheff is the reason I fell in love with The Replacements. He’s the reason I fell in love w/ a lot of bands. His writing in the Spin Alternative Record Guide taught me how to write— with affection, zeal, & commitment. Love the new “Tim.” It’s beautiful.

I love the Replacements' new "Tim." I wrote a lot about music and memory, about hearing new stories in old songs, about how it feels to live your whole life loving a record & then hear it change. The songs that love us best, never laid to rest.
