NIL was originally launched on a good faith initiative so athletes could monetize their name, image, and likeness through marketing, brand partnerships, and storytelling.

As the industry continues to evolve, schools will have their own dollars to work with. The opportunity in the marketplace is still wide open for athletes across every sport especially those in non-revenue generating programs.

For many athletes, NIL is the chance to supplement income while competing. It will depend on athletes learning how to build a brand, create value, and tell their story.

Education and access to real opportunities will matter more than ever. Athletes deserve the ability to monetize their name, image, and likeness. The athletes who lean into building their platform will unlock the most opportunity. Excited to have partners this year who see and share the value in creating an athlete first model through community, organic marketing, and curriculum.
