Mr. Paul was killed yesterday October 7, despite our warnings he was on the Fulani’s hit-list.

In late June 2025, following a meeting of Fulani militant leaders at a secret venue outside Abuja, several individuals - both Muslim Fulani and Christian tribes south of Jos, Plateau State - were reportedly listed for assassination for opposing militancy. One of them was Paul Danladi aka Mafal.

Our team immediately warned those listed directly and through close contacts to be vigilant. Sadly many resumed normal activities. Yesterday, Mr. Paul, respected youth leader in Gashish District, Barkin Ladi LGA, Plateau, was assassinated.

He was riding with his Fulani friend Adamu. He died instantly in the ambush. The assailants reportedly took Adamu who sustained a leg injury to hospital, leaving Paul's body by the roadside.

A tribal youth association Berom Youth Moulders-Association (BYM) in a statement confirmed the killing of its former Gashish District Chairman, Paul Danladi, attacked at Rantis Village along Gashish-Barkin Ladi road on Wednesday, Oct 7.

BYM is demanding an urgent probe into the killing and into alleged propaganda by one Iliyasu Ibrahim Shagari who posted minutes after that 2 Fulanis were killed in Kafi Abu.

BYM also notes 3 other attacks same day in Foron, Sho Road & Tanjol, Riyom LGA.

We all came back from this visit and every single one of us fell ill. The air in that place is different. The environment is no place where any human being should have to live.

Yet, we saw children competing for space with houseflies and rodents. The water they drink is barely fit to look at. The rooms they sleep in are cramped and far from clean. Some sleep on bare floors, while others lie on mattresses that have become almost completely flat from years of use. No food. No electricity. Nothing.

Nigerians are suffering. And for a country with the resources Nigeria has, it is heartbreaking to see children subjected to such conditions while public resources are lost to corruption and waste. Every Nigerian child deserves food, clean water, a safe home, electricity, dignity and hope.

A dog used to follow pilgrims to a Hindu religious site in Sri Lanka, and videos of it were shared warmly in Sri Lankan Hindu circles.

In late June, offended by the videos, a Muslim man went to the pilgrimage site, located the dog, kicked it, and uploaded the video, sparking outrage. During one such argument, a Sri Lankan Muslim wrote a derogatory post against the Hindu deity.

Anojan Sivarasa, a Sri Lankan Hindu working as a laborer in Saudi Arabia, didn't like the comment and responded with a reply that was allegedly derogatory to the Prophet.

Anojan's well-wisher immediately warned him. He took down the comment and issued a video apology within five minutes in which he said he was responding to an insult to his faith. However, it was too late. Anojan's fellow Sri Lankan Muslims had already taken a screenshot and emailed it to his employer in Saudi Arabia. His employer promptly reported it to the authorities, who arrested Anojan and put him on trial. He has been sentenced to death.

Saudi Arabia rarely reverses a decision once it has made one, but there should be global outrage over this. Blasphemy laws or whatever, the man was only responding to an insult to his faith, deleted the comment, and issued an apology within minutes, yet he will still have to pay with his life while those who provoked him are rejoicing in Sri Lanka. This is unacceptable. Anyone calling themselves a free speech supporter and not opposing this is a hypocrite of the highest order.

Two Killed, Three Injured in Late-Night Attack South of Jos, Plateau State

At least two people were killed and three others injured when suspected Fulani militants attacked a civilian guard post in Mangor, about 45 miles south of Jos, the capital of Plateau State in central Nigeria.

The victims were community volunteers on watch duty when they were attacked in the residential area of the Christian farm settlement known as Angwan Tsarki. The assault occurred around 10 p.m. local time according to locals.

The town is located in western Bokkos LGA, documented as the scene of the first major Fulani massacre in which over 27 people were killed in 2013.

The latest attack came shortly after reported shootings in South Jos and Dorowa Babuje, where a pastor was murdered on his way to church two weeks ago on September 20.

A survivor of the attack texted: “Fulani attack us in Angwan Sarki, Mangor, Bokkos and kill two, injured 3. I’m among the victims who sustained injuries.”

Videos obtained from a local hospital where survivors are being treated show crowds of weeping women sitting outside the building, injured survivors on hospital bed. In another clip, a man whose face is not shown can be heard describing the incident, and how the victims were killed and injured.

ON THIS DAY: Oct 1st, 2009, Grace Adie Ushang was r@ped and mûrdêred by a gang of young men in Maiduguri, Borno State, for "dressing provocatively" in khaki trousers.

The same trousers that were issued to her by the Nigerian government for her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

The kîlIers are yet to be caught and brought to justice.
