It’s been more than a week since over 40 pupils and teachers were abducted from schools in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, yet many families are still waiting in fear and uncertainty with no rescue in sight. 💔💔

The attackers reportedly stormed Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle, Baptist Nursery and Primary School, and L.A Primary School, kidnapping children as young as 2 years old alongside their teachers. During the attack, a teacher was also killed, leaving the entire community traumatized.

Parents have continued to cry out for help as disturbing videos of some abducted victims begging the government to save them surfaced online. Reports also say the kidnappers are allegedly demanding negotiations while fear keeps growing across Oyo communities.

This is heartbreaking because these are innocent children who only went to school to learn. The silence and slow response are making many Nigerians lose confidence in the country’s security system. Schools are no longer feeling safe again. 💔
