I'm sad that this class is over! I have learned so many new things and it has been super interesting. Definitely one of my favorite classes I have taken. #I2E21
I personally believe that it is okay to do something immoral to save someones life. In Heinz's dilemma I think that if he could not reason with the dealer he should steal the drugs to save the life of a loved one. #I2E21
According to Aristotle, fear is what makes courage and bravery possible. I agree with this because without fear we would have nothing to stand up against. #I2E21
@LeahStavrides I agree. People often hold themselves to an exact definition of what it means to be happy. I personally think that because different things make people happy everyone can be happy in their own unique way. #I2E21
Autonomy is the capacity to make and act on your own decisions. I think that it is important for all beings to have autonomy. It is necessary that humans are able to think for themselves and make their own life choices. #I2E21
@ethicsub I think that it is a common goal. People often become judgmental due to jealousy or if a person is bragging about their parents financial standings. Like many others, I hope that I can provide these things for my children one day. #I2E21
@Colton97412886 I agree. I believe that everyone needs to be capable of making their own decisions and choosing their own path to follow in life. #I2E21
@SophiaGuadagno1 I find this interesting as well. I learned lots of new things about rights after watching this weeks modules. They are way more complicated than I thought they were. #I2E21
I have been faced with moral dilemmas multiple times throughout my life. I often weigh out the pros and cons to help me decide which decision is more morally right than the other. #I2E21
@JulianaJjdenney I agree. I would also choose not to torture the children because they are innocent and do not deserve to be tortured. I could never live with myself knowing that I am allowing a child to be tortured. #I2E21
I think that doing harm is far worse than allowing harm. However, allowing harm is not right either. If you see someone getting bullied in school we should not stand by and allow it. #I2E21
@DrolukElizabeth I agree that the trolley situation is a moral dilemma. No matter what choice an individual makes one or multiple lives will be taken. Therefore neither choice is appealing or seems to be morally right. Both choices feel morally wrong. #I2E21
I do not think that there is such thing as a moral and honest politician. Many politicians lie to protect themselves or to protect people overall. In some situations it can be good but in others it can be wrong. #I2E21
@juliejacobs07 I think that both doing harm and allowing harm are morally wrong in their own ways. I believe that doing harm is worse than allowing it. However allowing harm is still very wrong and we should try to do what we can to stop harm when we see it. #I2E21
