There is an unwritten rule to life that most people never get told. After every long stretch of hardship and uncertainty, a period comes where you make quantum leaps across multiple areas of your life at once. It happens all at once, and it happens because of everything you survived before it. The only requirement on your end is simple. Do not give up on yourself before that period arrives.
If money wasn’t a problem, I’d probably spend my whole life studying.
A master’s in philosophy, then astrophysics, physics, ancient history, psychology… Whatever makes me understand this weird existence a little better.
Not for a career, not for a degree.
Just because there’s so much to know and one lifetime already feels too short.
Underrated life advice: get better at recovering fast. You're going to fail. You're going to get rejected. Make bad calls. Lose money. Embarrass yourself. Whatever it is, the goal is shrinking the gap between falling down and getting back up. Master the art of starting over.
They all criticized Ruto's government for killing and abducting young people, only for them to join and campaign for the killer and the abductor. Trevor Ombija, Lulu Hassan, and Stephen Letoo are now Ruto's allies as they want to be elected into Parliament. Such selfish people should never have a taste of power.
I honestly don’t understand how Ads are supposed to work on me. There’s no way you think interrupting my video that I was watching will make me like your product
Kwani how powerful are Kikuyus that they can stop the leaders you voted for from developing the regions they come from?
We need to get tired of this narrative of blaming Kikuyus for every problem in other regions. I even saw Kingi playing that card, the same man who served as Kilifi governor for 10 years.
Kenya’s devolved system gives county governments responsibility for development and service delivery, with county governments receiving their equitable share of nationally raised revenue.
So instead of blaming Kikuyus for everything, hold the leaders you elected accountable. The current President isn't a Kikuyu. Your governor isn't a Kikuyu. Your MP isn't a Kikuyu. Your MCA isn't a Kikuyu. None of them was put in office by Kikuyus.
If your region isn't developing, start by asking the people you elected what they have done with the mandate and resources entrusted to them.
Unless, of course, the argument is that leaders from Central receive development money while leaders elsewhere don't, which would be a completely different debate.
Mr Dangote, isn't it common sense that harmony between you and the People of Lamu is necessary for your success? The President in power is not synonymous with Kenyans. International law requires compliance with the host Country's Laws.
Kenyan: You don’t look Kenyan.
Foreigner: No, I’m Kenyan.
Kenyan: Okay. Sing the national anthem.
Foreigner: I can’t. The truth is, I was paid to come and vote…
Kenyans:
“This investor had previously refused to invest here, and statistics indicate that more than 55 companies have closed down during the Ruto administration. If you lose 55 investors and bring in one investor, you have to ask yourself: what benefit does that bring to Kenyans?”
DANGOTE EAST AFRICA REFINERY: This post is for archives. It will be useful soon when the dust settles.
Anyone who knows this government knows one thing, every popular project and program is usually the most vulnerable to Patronage. They always know you can always get away with anything and attack those who ask credible questions as “wale hawataki tujenge this or that”.
We are all in support of Foreign Direct Investments and especially from our African investors like Dangote. The questions and responsibilities is on the Government of Kenya who must not blubber but just make everything public.
1. We asked about the shareholders of the Kenyan subsidiary of Dangote refinery - Dangote East African Refinery. The response from the President was lengthy but didn’t provide such a simple request. Who are the shareholders of the Kenyan Subsidiary of Dangote East African Refinery? Simple. No anger, no explanation. Just the shareholders list.
2. How much land are we ceding to Dangote refinery? Is the value being converted to Equity or shareholding? What is the value?
3. How much has Kenya committed to invest directly into Dangote East Africa Refinery? Is there premium in the amount?
4. In the Lagos Refinery, the company had to build their own infrastructure including a Port and roads. Will the investment done by the previous governments in regard to Port and all count for anything? How much?
5. Is there any agreement committing Kenya into off take of the refined products? At what cost? As I type this, Nigeria where Dangote Cement is dominant has the highest retail prices of Cement in Africa. This is based of policies and agreements like the ones we must now make public.
If the government cannot provide these details, we will do so on their behalf. We are not asking these questions because we don’t know the details, we are only giving them a chance to do what a responsible government should do.
We are African and Africa is our Business..
"Nairobi CBD is about 350 acres. The Murang'a Industrial Park is 1,300 acres. In short, we are building a city bigger than Nairobi and, unlike Nairobi, it is planned"
- Governor Irungu Kang’ata speaking to potential investors.
This is a man with a VISION.
This is a LEADER.
What most of you need to know is, most of the battles are won by words. Not guns.
If we continue pressuring @KeNHAKenya to act, they eventually will.
It will be very possible to win and have clear and cleaner roads. We will also have clear walkways for us to walk freely.
OperationLindaWalkways!
Our walkways deserve better. Our walkaways are not your shops, they are not your motorized ways, and they are not hotels for selling those chapati choma.
@KeNHAKenya@KURAroads.
Help us protect our walkways, by removing the merchants and the filth.
Uganda sent 5: UK sent 6: Others had between 5-10 delegates to UNGA. Your country sent a staggering 84. Weep for your taxes. Hawa wanasaga mali yetu kusaga!

I have just learnt that Senator Cyrus Jirongo passed away last December in a motor accident. I was not aware that he had died.
This is very sad. Jirongo was a good and patriotic leader who served his country with dedication. We shall miss him. My condolences go to his family, relatives, friends and the people of Kenya. May his soul rest in peace.
