Student apathy is a major challenge in schools. Agree?

[Jeff Harding @GradesHarding]

@DickieV It's gotten way out of hand. Need to put more restrictions back in place.

[Jeff Harding @GradesHarding]

@evan2003brian Those days were always fun.

[Jeff Harding @GradesHarding]

@evan2003brian I miss her too.....

[Jeff Harding @GradesHarding]

@Espngreeny As a Steelers fan, here's hoping they get a couple in the 4th quarter.

[Jeff Harding @GradesHarding]

I agree totally with you.

[andrea @teachbk]

I can’t take my kids out today because they have too much homework.

This is a regular occurrence on weekends. Nights are also booked around assignments. Homework is a thief of family time.

[Jeff Harding @GradesHarding]

So true!!

[Kendall Toole #getembanned @fitxkendall]

Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you choose to deal with it. No denying the setbacks and frustration, but that’s the gems where growth opportunity stems from. Respond to the 10% with the reframe and watch how it shifts. 🙏

Teacher:
Plans a great hands-on, fun lesson!

Student:
Slept for 2 hours the night prior because they’re addicted to TikTok

Administrator:
Comes in and notices uninterested, tired student and comments ‘’What do you think you can do for that student to make them more interested?”

[Jeff Harding @GradesHarding]

I totally agree with this. Same for me. At least 10 years teaching before I was totally comfortable with it all. We place to much emphasis at times on complete understanding.

[Sunil Singh @Mathgarden]

It took me 10 years of teaching calculus to **really** understand calculus. Many ideas in math took decades to understand. Understanding that **understanding** is a luxury item in learning mathematics is alien in K -12 math education.

[Jeff Harding @GradesHarding]

So true......

[Brynn @pcbrynn]

A student came to me after seeing another student earn a reward for finally following directions in music class and said, “Sometimes it feels like when you’re always good, you need to try a lot harder to get noticed at school.”

I will never forget this. And I promise to notice.

[Jeff Harding @GradesHarding]

Sad but awful truth.

[Fixing Education @FixingEducation]

2018, more teachers resigned from the profession than any other year PRIOR.

2019, that number was SURPASSED.

2020, that number AGAIN SURPASSED.

2021, BROKE ALL RECORDS making it the biggest teacher resignation year of all-time.

Question: Was anything learned?
Answer: No!

[Super 70s Sports @Super70sSports]

Nolan Ryan took 31 no-hitters into the 7th inning during his career. The most amazing thing to the starting pitchers of today is this means he actually got to the 7th inning 31 times.

[Jeff Harding @GradesHarding]

@DrOsman_EDU I read this. It was very interesting.
