The Kansas City Chiefs were viewed as a cursed franchise before Patrick Mahomes arrived… and people tend to forget that 👀
This was a franchise that went 50 years without a Super Bowl appearance 😱
In that entire stretch, they made only one AFC Championship Game..
In the 24 seasons before Mahomes took over, the Chiefs played in 11 playoff games… and lost 10 of them 😳
They never even made it past the Divisional Round.
The narrative around Andy Reid at the time?
Great regular season coach… but inconsistent in the playoffs. A “choker.”
There were multiple early exits at home for Reid in KC and Philly, often as heavy favorites 🏟️📉
And no matter how good the team looked during the season, there was always that feeling that things would fall apart when it mattered most because Reid couldn’t get over the hump…
On top of that, the defense was a major issue. When Mahomes was drafted, it was one of the worst units in the league, and it arguably cost the team a Super Bowl in 2018 😬
And yet…
Because Mahomes has been unbelievably dominant, people now try to rewrite history and say he landed in one of the best situations ever 😅
If that were true, then explain this:
Before Mahomes became the starter, the Chiefs were 0–2 in the playoffs with both Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce on the field.
Same core pieces. Completely different results.
Mahomes didn’t step into a perfect situation…
He’s the reason it became one 🐐🔥
Can I tell you something I really need you to hear?
Before your first mistake. Before you ever felt like you weren't enough. God already wrote your story.
And yet we walk around calling ourselves a mess. Defined by our failures. Convinced we're too broken.
But you are His masterpiece — not because of anything you've done, but because of what He did.
God doesn't make mistakes.
You are proof.
I was walking through a gas station a moment ago here in Georgia. I am wearing a copper cross necklace that my wife got me for Easter. A man near the bathroom saw it and said, "Love that cross, brother, keep the faith."
And I have been thinking about that faith since then while sitting here at work.
The odd thing? Christ tells us that the faith of a mustard seed is all that is needed to move mountains and enter heaven...
Yet so many people demand 100% proof that Christ was real and the son of God....
Think about that.
God is offering them enternal salvation for their soul for faith barely above a hope and prayer.... and yet they are demanding 100% proof to even approach the idea....
Nothing to lose. Everything to gain.... and they push back because we don't have every single answer to every question they ask.
If I ask you what you lose by following Christ, what will you say? That you can't party on the weekends? That you can't sleep around? That you can't abuse your body, mind, spirit, and soul? That you can't lie, steal, or kill? That's what you lose? That's it? That is what is stopping you?
You are so reluctant to give an inch and consider that maybe, just maybe, Christ was exactly who he said he was. He was exactly who Mary said he was. He was EXACTLY who Peter, Matthew, Luke, Mark, John, James, Thomas, Nathaniel, Phillip, Andrew, Paul, John the Baptist, Mary Magdalene, and all the rest said he was. Maybe he was what most of them DIED saying he was instead of denying him.
The faith the size of a mustard seed.... that's all it takes....
Who is more demanding? You or God? Who is more unreasonable? You or God?
You need perfect proof. He needs you to simply give it a chance.🤷♂️
The world said this about Jesus.
“Some said, “He’s demon possessed and out of his mind. Why listen to a man like that?”
John 10:20
God The Father said this to Jesus.
“Then a cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my dearly loved Son. Listen to him.”
Mark 9:7
Jesus reminds us as His Followers
“—If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more will they call those of his household!”
Matthew 10:25
The world calls us crazy, but God calls us Sons and Daughters.
Rules of thumb when reviewing Massie votes:
1) make sure he’s voting on what you think he’s voting on
2) if he doesn’t vote w/ the party the bill has provisions that take away your rights.
3) if he’s the lone “No” vote take notice. Something in the bill is REALLY bad.
Tennessee's "dogshit" offense ranked #1 in the SEC & #6 nationally in scoring
Maybe you are confusing them with Oklahoma's 79th-ranked scoring offense?
