Seeing fish being sold/ served in a lot of places made me start thinking about how we can personally encourage sustainable fishing: instead of eating tuna we can 1. Eat less endangered species , 2. Check can labels to see how fish were caught 3. Eat local #MarEnvs20
Make sure to use refillable water bottles to limit plastic waste! 8 million tons of plastic enter the ocean each year, so we need to do something about it! #MarEnvS20
Saw a bird eating a plastic bag right next to the UNSW campus. It makes me think about all the plastic that we produce each year and how it is affecting wildlife. We need to be wary of our plastic production and make sure to recycle! #MarEnvS20
While I don’t know the full context of this exhibition, the rhetoric seems to suggest fearfulness of sharks. We need to stop this language as it has slowed shark conservation efforts since people continue to be irrationally terrified of sharks. #MarEnv20
Went snorkeling earlier this week and began to think about the impact we have on the reefs and biodiversity in general. Make sure to wear eco friendly sunscreen when exploring the ocean, so that we do not exacerbate this issue further! #MarEnvS20
The warming of our oceans is disturbing entire ecosystems and we have done little to nothing to slow this climate crisis. We need to spread awareness! #MarEnvS20

Take a minute to think about our oceans...
🌊Oceans act as the largest carbon sink in the 🌍
🌊Oceans host 80% of life on the 🌍
🌊Oceans provide half of the 🌍’s oxygen
The health of our oceans affects us all.
