📢OXFORD PROTEST: Solidarity with Ukraine 🇺🇦
📍1pm Sunday 27th Feb. Outside Radcliffe Camera.
Stand with Ukraine. Oppose Russian invasion. Show support for Ukrainian people, army, and the country's sovereignty. Hear our demands and ways you can help during this devastating war.
If I was 20 years younger I'd go to fight alongside the brave people of Ukraine. Remember Spain. Tomorrow I'll be at the Bod waving Ukrainian and European colours, yellow and blue, with pride and hope.
The UK government's decision to leave #Erasmus is a disaster for a whole generation of young people.
It is great news that the Welsh government is rebuilding ways for young people in Wales to take advantage of all that real international exchange has to offer.
Simple questions for a simple UK media. Who actually discovered the 1st vaccine? Who has already broken laws and contracts? When did von der Leyen ever say AZ was unsafe? Who rushed through an isolationist ‘deal’ they now want to renege on? Why do you need to promote a faux war?
"People seeking refuge on our shores are human beings full of unique worth and dignity.
We must not leave already traumatised people to deteriorate further in squalid and over-crowded conditions." - @timfarron

We need a recovery that is fair.
Fair for the doctors and nurses, care workers, teachers, and countless more on the frontline.
Fair for the people who have stepped up heroically to look after their loved ones.

#BrexitBritain reduced to being a lobbyist, outside the room where decisions are made, no longer able to veto things it doesn't like.

Wow, just wow! This is what an LTN does to a road that was utterly awful to cycle down at school time. Look at all those folk on bikes. Beautiful! (Milton Rd, Cricket Rd, Rymers Lane). Thank you so much @OxLivSts and @OxfordshireCC
Ambassador McDonagh's argument about the narrative on Europe is close to our heart as the European Movement. Hopefully, this may trigger debate amongst Oxfordshire's many pro-European Labour supporters. #Labour#EU#Europe https://t.co/2e73fNf2ze

'...the last vestiges of common decency prostituted to swindlers...' Le Carre's targets were 'the transatlantic scoundrels of the day, prodigal squanderers of the common European history and culture to which he was passionately attached.'
'Fiery anathema against the dunderheads and crooks who somehow had come to call the shots of nations:' Simon Schama on John le Carre's final broadsides. 'The masters of Britain, whatever their breezy affectation of accent and manner, had turned spiv...'
