We get sent a report at the end of every month with every search our library catalog gets by day. I love to scan these reports because they fascinate me. Best search of September was "why pandas suck" which after checking, yielded no results. Guess they needed better keywords.
I can tell you when I worked in a district that has used Accelerated Reader in Elementary and Middle School had High Schooler who HATED reading. Being forced to read for points and grades is a KILLER of the intrinsic motivation to read for pleasure.
