For those who check model assumptions (you ALL should), the {easystats} package makes it very easy to do this with various models but particularly regression models
We hope that you’ll join us at the 3rd Joint Congress on Evolutionary Biology! If you’re coming for the in-person meeting, be sure to check out some of Montréal’s sights and sounds. Register here: https://t.co/dLwcQ8AXLE (1/4)
1/13 🚨🚨 I am so excited to present our new paper, six years in the making. Here, we provide the first strong evidence that there is a molecular mechanism behind the origins of living fossil lineages! #biology#science#paleontology https://t.co/8wW3DVXD1P
This week, Preston chats with Dr. Jason Doll of Francis Marion University. Jason discusses his fisheries journey, Bayesian inference vs frequentist statistics, maintaining fisheries R packages, and current research projects.
Check it out!

My former supervisor at @SCDNR, @hokie_biologist is hosting episodes of @FisheriesPod. This weeks interview with Dr. Jason Doll @francismarionu was fantastic - not only for fisheries folks but anyone in the life sciences! Give it a listen here: https://t.co/LGHl0E42s6
Retirement is coming. I gave my last class lecture today. Gave my first one in 1988, 35 years ago. Today was General Ecology and the topic was Global Ecology. I chose to look at how the Earth has changed since I first started lecturing. A series of Tweets --
Supplementary materials should exude warmth to any reader who dares venture through them. "Dearest reader, friend, explorer, I'm sorry some complex set of events in your life have brought you to this section..."

@PetrovADmitri and I have been working with amazing Drosophila collaborators to broadly sequence the diversity of this group. We believe it is now technically feasible to sequence all >4,400 species, and have organized a #Dros23 workshop to engage the community in this effort.
Need an up-to-date #TreeofLife for teaching/conferences/wall paper? Talented PhD student @BasileBeaud drew a schematic consensus ToL from the most recently published phylogenies. Hope this is useful! Downloadable version in the thread👇
Are you an undergraduate or beginning graduate student interested in applying 'omics' to ecological questions? Come join me and @MelissaDeBiasse at a free summer workshop at LSU, room and board included.
