Joseph of Arimathea pulled a corpse off a cross with his bare hands.
Blood under his fingernails. The weight of a dead man sagging into his arms.
He wrapped God in linen, pressed the fabric into wounds that were still wet.
Nicodemus brought seventy-five pounds of burial spice. A king's funeral for a man the world just murdered.
They carried Him into a hole in the rock and rolled the stone shut.
And everything you've ever done went in with Him.
Every night you can't sleep because of what you did. Every morning, you can't look in the mirror. The thing you did to her. The thing you did to them. The
lie you've been carrying so long it feels like bone.
The version of you that drinks alone and pretends tomorrow will be different.
That man was buried with Christ.
Stone sealed. Done.
Not managed. Not in therapy. Not on a payment plan with God where you slowly earn your way back. Buried. In a tomb. Under rock. Gone.
Three days of silence. Three days of a cold body in the dark.
Then the stone moved.
And when He walked out, the grave clothes were folded on the slab. He didn't stumble out tangled in death. He left it sitting there like a man who's done
with the clothes he used to wear.
Lazarus needed someone to unwrap him. Death still clung to him even after he was breathing.
Jesus folded His own burial linen and walked out clean.
That's the difference between religion and resurrection. Religion unwraps you slowly. Asks you to manage your sin. Attend the class. Read the book. Try harder next week.
Resurrection says the man who walked into that tomb is dead. The man who walked out doesn't know him.
You're not fixing the old you. The old you is in a sealed tomb in Jerusalem, and he's not coming back.
The man reading this, the one who thinks he's too far gone, you're not too far. You're already buried. The funeral happened two thousand years
ago.
Now get up. The stone's already moved. The linen's already folded.
Walk out.
After much prayer, deep study, and an intense personal journey of discernment, I have decided to leave Catholicism and become Protestant.
I can no longer remain in submission to a visible Church with apostolic authority, valid sacraments, saints, councils, consistency across centuries, and an actual historical claim to be the Church founded by Christ.
Instead, I have been led to the far more reasonable position that Christ left us a Bible, a highlighter, and me.
From this day forward, I will be my own final authority on Scripture, history, doctrine, and the meaning of Greek words I looked up 7 minutes ago.
I will now reject Sacred Tradition in the name of traditions invented in 1998, deny the authority of the Church that gave me the canon, and confidently explain Christianity through a sermon clip, a study Bible note, and a man on YouTube named Caleb.
I have also come to see that the best way to preserve Christian unity is by joining a theological system in which everyone is their own pope, every disagreement creates a new church plant, and "being led by the Spirit" simply means agreeing with my current opinion.
I will be launching my own denomination later this afternoon.
Our distinctives will include symbolic communion, invisible church membership, a 36 sermon series on Romans, and a firm belief that every Christian in history was wrong until my favorite pastor with a podcast arrived.
Please respect my journey during this delicate time.
@revpaulwhite@rorysutherland Best not to take the intellectual high ground. Some of your followers will totally miss the irony. Everyone knows that lime juice is a secret ingredient in vaccines, so a scurvy epidemic is going to kill millions.
@revpaulwhite Indeed. We are entering a world that normalises the murderer of a child as it leaves the birth canal. Two Bishops saw fit not to be present at the Lords vote. Food for thought.
🚨 No other country on earth does this:
If a UK citizen moves abroad with no job, no contributions, no private income, what happens?
🇫🇷 France – no welfare until you’ve lived and paid in for years
🇩🇪 Germany – no benefits without work or residency
🇪🇸 Spain you don’t have money to support yourself? No entry
🇺🇸 USA – no free housing, no cash, no healthcare unless you buy it
🇨🇦 Canada – prove you can support yourself or you’re deported
🇦🇺 Australia – welfare only after years of residency
🇳🇿 New Zealand – same, no contributions = no benefits
🇸🇦 Saudi & Gulf States – if you’re not a citizen, you get nothing, ever
❌ Bottom line: there is no country that lets Brits just turn up and live off their welfare system. None.
✅ But Britain does the opposite:
• Free housing
• Weekly cash payments
• Healthcare
• Legal aid
• Schooling
All available immediately. No work. No contributions.
Our pensioners choose between heating and eating.
Our veterans sleep rough.
Our families are crushed by tax while services collapse.
Yet billions are handed instantly to strangers who have given nothing.
This is not fairness.
This is not compassion.
This is national self-sabotage.
If you want to understand why Britain feels invaded while our people struggle, start here 👇
🔹 Hotels full while veterans sleep on the streets
🔹 Families waiting years for housing while arrivals are housed immediately
🔹 NHS queues for British citizens while newcomers get seen on day one
🔹 Taxpayers bled dry while billions are spent on people who never paid a penny in
🔹 Undocumented fighting-age males sheltered without vetting or background checks
🔹 Sharp rise in sexual crimes, rapes and grooming gangs ignored by authorities
🔹 Violent crime increasing while police look the other way to stay “politically correct”
Britain is now a country that abandons the requirements of its own citizens in order to facilitate invading illegal migrants that have zero interest in our societal cohesion.
In every other country, newcomers must contribute first.
Here, the indigenous people are sacrificed for the system.
This isn’t immigration policy.
It’s betrayal.
It’s a full on traitorous attack on the British society, our sovereignty and standards of living.
Britain needs to understand the sophisticated level of coordination between the rape gangs - it goes far deeper than anybody realises.
A national crime network, of the most depraved kind.
Our inquiry is finding evidence of advanced links between dozens and dozens of towns and cities.
This is not simply dispersed groups of savages.
This is coordinated, right across the country. The tactics are well rehearsed, and well drilled. They know EXACTLY what they are doing.
Nothing is off limits to these people - nothing.
And there is ZERO appetite in Westminster or the media to even discuss it.
This is all so much worse than anybody knows.
Streeting is trying to distance himself from his best friend Mandelson.
So if you've got any respect at all for Wes Streeting, don't retweet this photo. 😁
"Put on the full armour of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil..."Eph 6
Can we be perfectly clear that the man most touted — and most avid — to now succeed Starmer will not in any way mark a new beginning either for the country or Labour?
We used to have lots of places in the UK where you could get most of what you needed within 15 minutes walk: school, GP, grocer, butcher, church, pub, children's playground, sports club.
We called them "towns" and "villages".
Then along came central and local government.
They encouraged large chains to build out of town supermarkets, forcing town centre butchers and grocers and fishmongers out of business.
They planted acres of new housing around towns and villages, with no facilities, and too far away from town centres for people to walk there. And they sold off sports grounds and playgrounds for more housing.
They built centralised "superhospitals", moving patient care away from their local neighbourhood, while running down the GP service and replacing it with call centres and "apps".
They raised business rates and car park prices in town centres, and installed lots of bike lanes and "traffic calming", thereby narrowing roads and causing more traffic congestion, reducing footfall, and sending town centre shops out of business.
They closed pubs, playgrounds, sports clubs, churches to save us all from a *checks notes* deadly respiratory virus.
And now what do they want to do?
They want to recreate those 15 minute communities that we used to have in small towns and villages, but in bigger towns and cities instead. Only they're not doing it by encouraging small businesses to open neighbourhood stores, or reducing local business rates, or decentralising the NHS, ensuring we can all live in that same 15 minute paradise.
No, they're doing it by installing traffic filters and CCTV and enforcement infrastructure and fines. All stick and no carrot. Creating new inner city ghettos.
There is seemingly no situation which central and local government cannot make worse.
@WG_RumblePants I played there several times in thev1970's. These beautiful grounds under the South Downs hold much of the meaning for me of the glorious game.
@Artemisfornow If light from the sun is restricted, so are all green plants ability to lock carbon in their tissues by photosynthesis. We need unrestricted sunlight and certainly no less carbon dioxide or crop yields will fall.
