But yes, 2x2=4. I just don’t know what relevance that has on the conversation about the original formula: 7+7/7+7=?

And the answer is no, you wouldn’t just move 4 to the front of the equation. It would stay where it is. Order of Operations simply determines which operations you work out first, not where they go.

@JusticeCaptain @techwithkramer @BholanathDutta No. If they needed to be done first they’d be written inside parentheses. That’s a basic principle for writing math equations. Just look up “Math Order of Operations.” I’m not making this up.

@JusticeCaptain @techwithkramer @BholanathDutta It matters but you have to do the order of operations correctly. If there are any operations that need to be done first, they’ll be inside parentheses. Then you do exponents. After that, you work L-R solving any multiplication/division and then again for any addition/subtraction.
