While patrolling I-40 West, an officer clocked a red Mustang speeding at 95 mph. The vehicle, also bearing a tag from a different car, failed to stop immediately, continuing for about a mile and a half before pulling into the Shell/McDonald’s off Old Hickory Blvd.

Upon stopping, the male driver became confrontational and refused to comply. When the officer attempted to detain him, he resisted, stating he was “not going to be handcuffed.” An off-duty security officer saw the struggle and stepped in to assist. After continued resistance, the suspect was taken into custody.

The 35-year-old male from Whites Creek was found to have a revoked license and active warrants in Smyrna for Failure to Appear and Violation of a Domestic Order of Protection, as well as in Montgomery County for Failure to Appear on an Aggravated Burglary charge. He now faces additional charges, including Failure to Yield, Driving on Revoked, and Resisting Arrest.

His passenger, a 38-year-old female from Joelton, also had outstanding warrants for Domestic Assault in Nashville and Shoplifting in Rutherford County. She was taken into custody as well. A 12-year-old child in the car was safely transported to Mt. Juliet, where a family member picked her up.

Another great example of proactivity and holding criminals accountable– ensuring safety in our community!

What is privilege?👇🏼

Privilege is wearing $200 sneakers when you've never had a job.

Privilege is wearing $300 Beats headphones while living on public assistance.

Privilege is having a Smartphone with a Data plan which you receive no bill for.

Privilege is living in public subsidized housing where you don't have a water bill, where rising properly taxes and rents and energy costs have absolutely no effect on the amount of food you can put on your table.

Privilege is the ability to go march against, and protest against anything that triggers you, without worrying about calling out of work and the consequences that accompany such behavior.

Privilege is having as many children as you want, regardless of your employment status, and be able to send them off to daycare or school you don't pay for.

There wasn't a dry eye in sight this afternoon as we gave our final goodbye to Chief James Hambrick, following 28 years of proudly serving within out Mt. Juliet Police Department. His legacy will forever live in our culture and we can say with certainty he has elevated MJPD to new heights because of his leadership. For that we will forever be indebted to Chief Hambrick, wife Denise, and his family.

Can you imagine yourself in 10 years if, instead of avoiding the things you know you should do, you actually did them every single day?

Why oh why can't we do what's right? When Washington became a place where massive money flowed in and out we were doomed. Everything is about money. :( That's what's wrong with our healthcare too. The Mayo Clinic has that right. Let's follow.

[Oversight Committee @GOPoversight]

🚨 BREAKING 🚨

We have learned that hours after Gregory K. Bovino, Chief Patrol Agent of the El Centro Border Patrol Sector, sat with our committee for a voluntary transcribed interview, Chief Bovino was relieved of his command over the El Centro Sector and was reassigned to a vague, indefinite, and temporary headquarters assignment.

Given the suspicious timing of the reassignment coinciding with Chief Bovinos cooperation with a Congressional inquiry, our committee, along with @HomelandGOP, is demanding @CBP account for the current status of Chief Bovino’s employment and assignment within the U.S. Border Patrol, provide documents and communications relevant to any reassignment and the reasons for any related employment action, and brief the committee on this matter.

Any retaliation against witnesses who cooperate with Congressional inquiries will not be tolerated, especially when that retaliation may have been committed by government officials.

This is a horrific local story that I need help getting the word out about for local police. A local soccer coach in Franklin, TN named Camilo Campos left a phone at a restaurant. It was filled with videos of him raping boys who were unconscious. Many may not realize they’re victims but his phone has evidence of a lot of victims. If your child ever played for him, was around him or associated with him in any way then Franklin Police need you to call 615-794-2513.

If this student loan crisis is so horrible (it is horrible) that the student loans need to be forgiven, why aren’t they going to stop giving out student loans? It's so intellectually dishonest, and this problem will just continue to hurt Americans.

For those of you still carrying the burden of tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars in student loan debt, don't lose hope. We are right here beside you, and you still have the power to get yourself out of this mess. Remember, no matter how today's news impacts you personally, YOU are the one in control of YOUR life. Your future success will be a result of YOUR hard work and sacrifice.

If you haven't seen it yet, you've got to check out my team’s award-winning documentary, Borrowed Future. It’s helping people understand the truth about student loans and what they’re doing to our nation. Everyone needs to see this. It's time for everyone to understand just how awful the federal student loan program is, and how it's holding people back from living their lives. @crazyclipsonly This would scare me to death. This is definitely why dogs should stay home. In public around food with other dogs🤦🏻‍♀️ Not a good combo.

@GEODISPark we need to talk. We LOVE NSC. But you've hit my account for $1200 last month and $1k this month. This will be the end of our season tickets unless we can fix this HUGE problem.
