BT’s response makes clear: “Congress may not train its power on a speaker because of the viewpoint that speaker expresses. … [It] has no legitimate interest in the viewpoint of a domestic news organization, and it may not use compulsory process to reach it. The First Amendment does not tolerate inquiry into American opinion.”
