He was commissioned as an Air Force JAG officer in 1982, served on active duty before continuing in the Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard, deployed in support of operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, and retired in 2015 as a Colonel.

It must have been really hard for him to oversee Songbird McCain’s tribunal.
