Yes but in respect to people, putting laws aside since you asked how people feel... Even here in a muslim neighborhood, I'm fairly certain it would be met with opposition. I find most people prefer things not forced upon them, especially in America. The intent may not be disturbance but how can it not be to everyone in its vicinity that isn't muslim? So it comes down to tolerance yes? Over time tolerance turns to resentment and hence centuries and centuries of built up resentment turning to war.
