@BigSwingTempo I just say “I love hear the ball hit the bottom of the cup” and putt it out. Usually gets a chuckle and then they know I want to play ball in hole.
@MidwestGolfJake I think if you have your own clubs, play multiple times a year, and play even once in a year because *you* wanted to and not just because someone invited you or there was a company event, you’re a golfer.
@practicalgolf I started practicing “punch out of trouble” shots on the range so it’s actually a safe way to get out of trouble instead of something even less predictable than full swinging and praying.
@MidwestGolfJake Easier to make, easier to miss for me. If I’m just trying to two putt, I like it slower. If I’m in that “long make” range, I like it fast.
@MidwestGolfJake That’s been my approach. Rather than try to do shots that are less affected by the wind, I’m really enjoying just trying to anticipate what the wind will do to my normal shots and watching the show the wind puts on
@MidwestGolfJake I haven’t played any of your highly rated ones in Iowa, but Waveland is probably the best I’ve played and Bos is my favorite since I played it so much in high school.
@MidwestGolfJake I play 10 right now and my non-driver wood never leaves the bag anyway. That said, I’m a very bad golfer, so club selection doesn’t exactly drive a big part of my scoring
@Top100Rick One in hand, two in pocket to start the round, and if I don’t lose any then usually there are 3 or 4 in my pocket because I found a couple new friends along the way!
Can’t we all just agree that responding to chirping by chirping back and then gifting the other team a free point before going on to lose the game by 1 point is funny?
@DiscGawlfer@UmpScorecards As an example, for 2019, the expected number of runs a team would score with a runner on first and 0 outs was .935, while the expected runs with 1 out and no one on was .298, for a difference of .637 expected runs.
