Trijicon warranty is pretty good (as it should be for that price) from what I've heard, I'm sure they'll make you whole.

$850 optic can't survive a drop from knee height. MANY people have reported breaking the lens on their SRO from light bumps and small drops.

At least you paid a premium because it's made in America, and it makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside.

@AKmountain_guy There are certain things in life I don't buy second hand. Underwear, mattresses, and you can include optics. I've got a half dozen HS sights, with 50-60k rds collectively over the last 8-10 years, ZERO issues. You're paying double the price for an RMR because "Made in America."

Hope they took care of him, that glass should have a lifetime warranty, and that's clearly an example of something that would be covered.

@AKmountain_guy @ControlledPairs Judging by the slide wear, your buddy put a serious number of rounds through that gun. That optic has some mileage on it. I've seen worse happen to brand new RMR's and SRO's. Ever seen the number of RMR's with cracked lenses from waist high drops?

@EvanSlipk @AKmountain_guy @ControlledPairs When an optic comes off a gun, it's because it's improperly mounted. Wrong torque, no thread locker, sheared screws, incorrect screw length, mounting plate defect, take your pick.

Has ZERO to do with the optic itself. I've seen it happen to Trijicons plenty.
