After much contemplation, I am officially withdrawing from the Congressional run for US Representative for MI-06. I am supporting @MattLongjohn for this seat.
Through this process I’ve found him respectful, prepared and a true fighter for the future of #Mi06.

But Trump is a symptom of our apathy. We let this happen. We are woefully uninformed and we don't vote. Perhaps we deserve this.

@1a the electoral college was meant to prevent a demagogue with charisma from swaying the populace, to prevent “the mob” from controlling the process. The electoral college did not do its originally stated, due diligence to protect the people from themselves, abolish it.

@1a someone spouting the original writing of the constitution, should note that in that document Slaves were 2/3s of a person, as we have moved on from that position, so has our constitution. It is “amendable” for a reason.

@GovWhitmer before the vote on car insurance, can the people of #Michigan see the plan? Every Michigan citizen has a right to know what our lawmakers are voting on, and if we the people disagree, we should have the Opportunity, to call our reps to voice our opinions.
