As a Protect Michigan Commission appointee I was glad to see the MI Senate invite @MichiganHHS Director Hertel to give an overview of the interim state COVID-19 vaccination policy today. We all have life-saving work ahead of us. https://t.co/hKoA0r8ZXU
The Governor's Vaccination Strategy was introduced today. It is a good starting point for the Protect Michigan Commission.
I'm excited to dig in and work with an excellent team of people across MI to refine, implement, and evaluate it.

Former VP Biden came to Southwest Michigan in October of 2018, and his words and actions were used by Republicans to derail my campaign for Congress.
So what?!? I'm with Joe!

I'm furious about efforts to squash the CDC's guidance on the safest way to open schools, churches, child care, etc.
Killing this project is what you would do if you were trying to increase the number of people who will get sick and die.

The Coronavirus is only exposing unethical and inhumane inequities in our health and health care which have existed for far too long. We need to act now to address these inequities. Push your candidates and electeds to support this Bill!

TUESDAY: I'm going to be on a panel for the next #OurLivesOnTheLine town hall. Join in to hear stories of Michigan health care workers and patient advocates affected by coronavirus, the rising cost of prescription drugs, and GOP attacks on the ACA.

@maddow reminded me the Trump Admin is actually loosening nursing home rules pertaining to patient safety and hygiene. The last Medicare Physician Fee Schedule allows for more crowding and fewer bathrooms for Medicare and Medicaid patients. Another advantage for the Coronavirus!
Very pleased to be joining the Department of Family and Community Medicine at WMed!!!
I'm looking forward to working with other Community and Clinical faculty members to address the current pandemic as well as other, longstanding public health issues!
The Altarum Institute is a Michigan-based non-profit health systems research 'think tank' trying to develop data policymakers can use for effective County and State responses to the Coronavirus.

Later tonight (3/24), I'm going to be asking all my FB friends and Followers who are health and health care professionals to help coordinate a national statement.
@MattLongjohn Matt, thanks for running a great campaign and really putting a scare into Upton! We look forward to seeing what you do next and you can count on our support if you run again.
A blue wave hit St. Joseph on Tuesday. The traditionally Republican city voted for Democrats in all the statewide races. Shockingly, even Rep. @RepFredUpton got fewer votes in his hometown than Democrat Matt @MattLongjohn. An anomaly or a new trend?
