When I hear about another war in Ethiopia, Tigray, Amhara and Oromia I think of one issue above all others: the treatment of Women. The atrocities they suffered during the 2020-2022 Tigray war. Unspeakable abuse. Whatever else happens, can all sides please avoid a repetition?

Prior to Abiy Ahmed taking office roughly eight years ago, Ethiopia experienced a somewhat greater level of peace and improved overall security,
Under his leadership,👇
These are the child soldiers that Abiy Ahmed is deploying in yet another senseless war. Many of them were snatched from the streets against their will.
Abiy Ahmed must come to his senses and stop this nonsense election, Release all political prisoners make peace with political leaders and make genuine negotiations with armed rebels, before starting any armed conflict elsewhere.
OMG this middle schooler literally just spoke the truth about what’s happening to people of color in this Country at a City Council meeting and crushed it! This girl is brilliant and smarter than most adults! Give it a listen! 👇👇👇
The Epstein files are utterly horrific. Pure evil. The Imperial power structure is full of demons and these are the people who want to teach us morals.

#TPLF welcomes #AU call for restraint, reaffirms commitment to dialogue
The Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) has welcomed a call by the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, urging restraint amid renewed tensions in Ethiopia’s Tigray region, reaffirming that dialogue remains the only viable path to resolving outstanding issues with the federal government.
In a letter sent late on Saturday and addressed to the AU Commission Chairperson, the TPLF said it appreciates the African Union’s engagement in support of peace and stability in Ethiopia, noting that it takes “positive note” of the AU’s concern over recent developments in Tigray.
The party further expressed its readiness to engage constructively in any dialogue initiative facilitated by the African Union, including through the AU High-Level Panel on Ethiopia, aimed at advancing “peace, confidence-building, and reconciliation.”

This needs to be stopped at its early stage. The Ethiopian government is the enemy of the people. They boast as if they’ve achieved something great, yet bombing truckers carrying basic necessities is not heroism, it’s cruelty. @SenateForeign@_AfricanUnion
