@FIFAWorldCup FIFA's new water bottle policy is a danger to public health. People need water to live and be well. Restricting and limiting people's ability to hydrate can & does lead to serious and extreme health conditions, including death.
Fans heading to games at the World Cup will be banned from taking reusable water bottles into stadiums, a last-minute policy reversal that could add to concerns about heat at this summer’s tournament. https://t.co/dR9eXa9pQ8

I’m losing my mind listening to congress say the reason behind the TikTok ban is the unregulated influence of a foreign country over American citizens, as I am served commercials to support the Israeli government on every conceivable platform.
🧵 Today’s decision by the @CIJ_ICJ to order additional provisional measures in South Africa’s genocide case against Israel highlights the continuing catastrophic deterioration of conditions & the growing threat to Palestinians in occupied #Gaza since the ICJ’s last ruling.
We have to talk about blood plasma.
Months ago I did a zoom call with U of MI grad students trying to unionize. Several told me they so underpaid they were selling their blood plasma to make ends meet. 1/4
"The World Court’s landmark decision puts Israel and its allies on notice that immediate action is needed to prevent genocide and further atrocities against Palestinians in Gaza."

This clip is from a Breaking Points interview done on June 26, 2023. It reflects my views on Israel and Palestine going back before October 7.
Many saw a small clip out of context of the entirety of an interview I did about a week ago, and have now accused me of views I do not hold. Many use the word “siege” and “blockade” instead of “occupation” when it comes to Gaza, because the Israelis had left Gaza in 2005. That is what I was referring to in the now viral clip. I have spoken and written about the occupation of the West Bank, the illegality of the settlements, and the siege of Gaza for years. After the interview, I spoke to both Israelis and Arab friends who told me that the word “occupation” should still be used in reference to Gaza, and I immediately wrote a statement saying so. The mischaracterization on the part of many is purposeful and strategic. In fact, I have called for a ceasefire from the beginning of this horror. I criticized the very idea of military action before it even occurred. And my stand for Palestinian justice goes back many years.
We should have universal healthcare. Insulin would be free.
We’ve been trained to expect so little, politicians feel free to brag about throwing us crumbs.
