I have been fortunate to review many great chess books in 2022 for @ecfchess and @CHESS_Magazine The “Masterpieces and Dramas” series is my pick of the year. Chess writing at its finest! Check out January @CHESS_Magazine for an article inspired by various superb @ilan_ruby works.
"It is impossible for a single review to do justice to the richness of the historical sources, intriguing games and beautifully told stories contained within this book...If you are looking for the ideal Christmas gift the three volumes of this series are what you are looking for.
@CHESS_Magazine Having both the December and January editions to read over the holidays sounds like the perfect way to celebrate Christmas! Will definitely be worth the wait!
This month, delighted to review @ecfchess -“Prepare to Win” by Jonathan Arnott and “The Match of all Time” by G Thorarinsson @NewInChess. Great to also ‘discover’ Assiac’s “The Delights of Chess” in @ChessAndBridge ! https://t.co/9LkcrHunA6
I just received the new book by Ben Graff a.k.a. @GreenBGambit and I have to say at first glance it looks like one of the most beautifully designed chess books I have ever seen - very much like an Encylopaedia.
Cant wait to dive into it!
@pcmguru@ABIlsley Hi Michael, Really appreciate your interest. I bought a copy to raise awareness that it’s now on sale everywhere. Amazon, @ChessAndBridge etc. But if you’d like the display copy just let me know and we can sort this out today.
I write monthly book reviews for @ecfchess ‘Chess Moves.’ Lovely Sunday morning reading @ilan_ruby Masterpieces and Dramas of the Soviet Union Vol III. Loving it and thought I’d share my earlier review of the equally brilliant Volume II https://t.co/yViktxe5Zk
Popped into @chessandbridge in the week, to sign some copies of my new book. “Checkmate! Great Champions and Epic Matches from a Timeless Game.” It was great fun to write and lovely to see it on the shelves! Chess and Bridge is definitely my favourite place in London!
@Chessentials_@chessandbridge There are some games! Two for each world champion and sections/ games for Menchik, Gaprindashvili and Polgar, in addition to chapters on man v machine and more detail on famous title matches. Also lots of photos and stats!
Great to see that @GreenBGambit has a new book out! It's certainly lavishly illustrated and will surely prove popular in the Christmas market. We'll have more from Ben on 'Checkmate!' in our December pages and you can already purchase the book from @chessandbridge! #chess
Delighted to review Chess Crusader by @Carl_Portman for @adamraoof at The Chess Circuit. A wonderful book. Also many congrats on your 100th Article for @CHESS_Magazine. Here’s to many more! @ecfchess @chessandbridge https://t.co/fR4KeeaguX

It’s been eighteen months, so really delighted that the Leamington League is finally back underway tonight with Stratford v Kenilworth! Here’s hoping many more leagues kick off in the weeks ahead! @ecfchess @CHESS_Magazine
In our latest issue, we catch up for 60 Seconds with... Rosie Irwin, co-author of The Queen's Gambit - Accepted! @chessandbridge now have some signed, hardback versions in stock and if you're not entirely sure what this exciting book is about, do check out @GreenBGambit's review!
Hats off to @ecfchess and all commentators/ players/ organisers for making the Checkmate challenge such a success. That’s the first time I’ve played Keith Arkell @Atomrod 3 times before 9.00 on a Sunday morning! A great event for a great cause. Think I need a bit of a rest today!
@SimonB4a Thank you! That’s really kind. Definitely my best game tonight. It was great to play you. I know you are way better than me, so I will treasure that one! Good luck with the rest of the tournament!
