The whole state? That’s ignorant. It’s estimated that 35,000 people out of a total population of 3.55 million in Utah practice polygamy. That’s less than 1% of the state’s population…Hardly the whole state would say. The problem has nothing to do with Mormons or religion. The real reason Utah is so messed up is that their elections are corrupt. Essentially Democrats run as republicans because they can’t win an election in Utah otherwise. In other words…the Utah State Government is full of Democrats masquerading as Republicans. And most of the actual Republicans who are in office, are rhinos.

The @GovCox corruption scandal with regards to quid pro quo funding for 144 luxury lots in Heber has now gained statewide media attention. Thank you to everyone for standing up for what's right and heeding the call to action that I sent out yesterday. It worked.

The fight isn't over, it's just beginning. As @bmullahy2news points out in his video is that it's now been over a week and despite numerous media requests for comment he is stonewalling and has said nothing.

We can't let them get away with this. We need answers. Now.

Under Utah State Law, it is illegal to withhold routine and formulaic B & C road funding to achieve political ends as Mr. Waldrip clearly stated was the Governor's intention during the meeting with Heber's City Council.

While I don't have proof that funding has been withheld I suspect this style of mafia-esque threats and quid-pro-quo Governance was not a one-off.

And to be clear, if at any time, the Governor's office has withheld B & C road funding to enrich their donors with entitlements for luxury lots or other purely political ends, then I believe they are violation of Federal Corruption and should be referred to the DOJ for prosecution.

And that's why I'm creating this post in the hopes that if funding has been withheld for political ends, then folks and municipalities come forward to expose it so we have something that we can refer this to the DOJ for criminal prosecution.

Given this, I believe that is why they are not making comments because they know what they've threatened and got doing is illegal.

Demand answers from the Governor, demand them now, and if you know of any municipality that has had B & C road funding withheld bring it Brian Mullahy's attention (or mine if you want it posted) for increased scrutiny and let us all know so that we can make a criminal corruption referral to the DOJ.

One more request: please SHARE this post as broadly as possible so the Governor can no longer ignore and we can get to the bottom of this apparent corruption.
