Another important stage of the groundwork for the old chapel project is the laying of the service channels and drains by MCB Civil Engineering. Another welcome step in the detailed construction works on site. @HeritageFundL_S@HistoricEngland @SSHConservation @Greendale_Build
Considerable progress is being made both inside and outside the Old Chapel. View Chris & Glynn of Greendale constructing the walls of the extensions.

Work continues to ‘open up’ the interior of the Old Chapel. Evidence of the ‘stable phase’ of the building is coming to light. How much larger the building looks when empty! Outside, preparations start for the reinforced retaining walls. @SSHConservation, @Greendale_Build
Update 12 shows the discovery of the original floor level of the chapel, the detailed work to renovate the internal brick plinth & the marking out of the extension to the east. You also get a glimpse into the ‘site control centre’. @SSHConservation, @Greendale_Build
Great to see precision work by Lewis & Jack of MCB Civil Engineering, setting up the first stage of the retaining walls. Also good to see the work by Chris Insley, stonemason, revealing the 1818 cavity walls.
